Después de conciertos inolvidables en México y EEUU este verano, vamos a hacer un receso de las giras y los conciertos. Y mientras tanto vamos a trabajar en nuestro nuevo álbum, que estaremos grabando durante Octubre en la mágica isla de Orcas, en el noroeste de la costa Pacífica de EEUU.

Alejandra regresará a Colombia para dedicarse a la maternidad, y allá seguirá haciendo sesiones de sanación con voz y sonido. Luis estará en Argentina enseñando y trabajando en el material para su nuevo proyecto. Esperen más noticias!

Nuestra película con Vincent Moon, Esperando el Tsunami se podrá seguir viendo (cualquiera puede fácilmente organizar una proyección de la película AQUI); y vamos a seguir lanzando el Material Extra cada mes, con vídeos exclusivos de los increíbles músicos que nos encontramos durante nuestro viaje por Colombia. Hay muchas joyas sonoras, así que estén atentos…

Hay mucha música nueva que estaremos compartiendo el año que viene! Esperen el álbum visual de Lulacruza -filmado por Vincent Moon durante las sesiones de Esperando el Tsunami -que se lanzaremos en el primer semestre del 2013. Y luego, por supuesto, nuestro nuevo álbum, con toda la magia de la isla de Orcas!! También saldrá el esperado sencillo de Casa Redonda, con remixes de algunos de nuestros artistas electrónicos favoritos.

Estamos muy agradecidos por todo el increíble apoyo que hemos recibido y por las conexiones inspiradoras de los últimos meses. Gracias de corazón a Kate Lesta por gestionar tantos  movimientos y ayudarnos en esta expansión! Fue realmente un placer tener su ayuda durante todo la gira, los conciertos Privados-Públicos y las proyecciones de Esperando el Tsunami en todo el mundo (más de 200 proyecciones de la película han sido organizadas por gente y festivales).

La película que hicimos con Vincent Moon aún se puede ver! Esperando el Tsunami sigue a Lulacruza en nuestra búsqueda del néctar musical de Colombia … Viajamos por zonas remotas del pais en busca de las raíces profundas de la música; y en el camino escuchamos a la naturaleza, dialogamos con ella e improvisamos con músicos locales en sus regiones.

Desde el lanzamiento de la película en Noviembre del 2011, la gente ya ha organizado más de  200 proyecciones en el mundo. Las personas se están reuniendo para verla en lugares como Colombia, Argentina, EE.UU., México, Venezuela, Inglaterra, Rusia, Francia, Portugal, Brasil, Sudáfrica, Marruecos, Indonesia y otros.

Los fondos para este proyecto fueron recaudados a través de Kickstarter y alrededor de 200 personas donaron al proyecto. Ha sido una creación colectiva! y es por eso que queremos compartirla GRATIS para que todos la puedan ver. Pasen la voz!

After a string of beautiful shows in Mexico and the US this Summer, we are taking a long break from touring and performing. Meanwhile, we will record our new album on the magical Orcas Island, in the US Pacific NorthWest.

Alejandra will return to Colombia, to focus on bringing this new life into the world. There, she will continue to share sound and voice healing sessions. Luis will be in Argentina teaching and working on material for his new project. More updates coming soon!

Our film with Vincent Moon, Esperando el Tsunami will continue showing (you can easily screen the film HERE), and we will continue releasing new Outtakes every month, featuring incredible musicians from Colombia that we encountered during our travels. There are many upcoming jewels, so stay tuned…

There is a lot of new music that we will be releasing throughout the next year!!! Expect the Lulacruza visual album -filmed by Vincent Moon during the Esperando el Tsunami sessions- to be released on the first half of 2013. And then of course our newest album, with all the Orcas Island magic!!!! And sometime in between, due to popular demand we will be releasing the single Casa Redonda, with remixes by some of our favorite electronic artists.

We are so so grateful for all the amazing support we have received and for the inspiring connections of the past months. Heartfelt thanks to Kate Lesta for managing ALL our movements and helping us expand so much!!! It was truly a joy to have all her help and insights during the tour, the Private-Public shows and the screenings of Esperando el Tsunami worldwide (over 200 screenings of the film have been organized by people and festivals!).

Also, huge thanks to Adam in Orcas Island, for making this dream of going up there to record come true…. Esperando el Tsunami

The film we did with Vincent Moon is out! And anybody anywhere can watch it. Just go to Host a Screening to sign up and create your own screening (watch it with friends, family or a group of strangers that you meet for the first time!)

The film follows Lulacruza as we search for Colombia’s musical nectar… We traveled to some remote areas of Colombia searching for the roots of it’s music. Along the way we listened to nature, dialoging and sometimes channeling the voices of the land, and improvised with local folkloric musicians.

Since it’s release  people already organized over 200 screenings around the planet. People are getting together to watch in places like Colombia, Argentina, USA, Mexico, Venezuela, England, Russia, France, Portugal, Brazil, South Africa, Morocco, Indonesia, and more.

The funds for this project were raised through Kickstarter. Around 200 people donated to the project. Its been a collective creation! and that is why we want to share it FREE for everyone to watch and participate. Please spread the word.
